24k Solid Gold Medusa Pendant made with Sterling Silver and Diamonds

This is a beautiful one of a kind handcrafted pendant featuring the ancient Greek mythological figure of Medusa, one of the three Gorgons. It was fabled that those who stared into Medusa's eyes would turn into stone, hence we have opted for two beautiful diamonds to be set into the eyes. Medusa historically has been a symbol of female empowerment against a predominantly male orientated system. It was Perseus, the Greek hero and founder of Mycenae, who beheaded Medusa and used her as a weapon against Cetus to save Andromeda. The face is made out of silver and is sculptural.

It is framed in solid 24k yellow gold. The pendant comes with a complimentary wheat chain made of silver that is oxidized to give it a darker look.

There is also the option of choosing a chain with a diamond clasp. That chain is made out of sterling silver and it is two tone with gold plating. The clasp of the chain is made with silver, decorated with tiny diamonds and is two sided. Please keep in mind since this is a one of a kind piece and handcrafted, there will be a slight difference between each piece.
