Celia Sebiri Signed Lovely Hand Made Sterling Silver Woven Design Clip Earrings

BEAUIFUL VINTAGE HAND SIGNED CELIA SEBIRI STERLING SILVER WOVEN DESIGN CLIP EARRINGS. Celia Sebiri, New York, (1913 - 2006), enjoyed a jewelry designing career that spanned more than thirty years from the late 1960's - 1990's. She was instrumental in spanning the bridge between costume and fine jewelry and was a winner of the Cody award in 1973 for her jewelry designing. She also designed for Avon in 1987. Her daughter, Karen, worked with her in designing works of art.

This lovely pair of all hand made clip earrings, circa 1970's, consists of four rows square of interwoven strips of sterling silver in a fine basket weave design.. These earrings are designed as clip backs. The silver-tone findings have their original patina.

Great set from an American designer. Correctly signed by the artist: "Celia Sebirii".. In etched cursive writing (HAND SIGNED) and signed: "SEBIRI" & "STERLING" in stamped block letters on each earring..
