+ Nice Antique Sterling Silver Celtic Chalice and Paten Made in England (CU594)

This is a nice antique handmade Celtic chalice and paten with case. Both the chalice and paten have English silver hallmarks on the cup, base and paten.

Both have nice Celtic embossing and engraving. The chalice has 8 round red ruby color faceted stones mounted around the node. There are also 8 tear drop shaped stones mounted around the base and a smaller. Red stone mounted in the center of the Celtic cross.

The chalice is nicely weighted and has the original priest's name and engraving on the bottomplate. It stands 8" tall, 3 1/2" cup diameter and 5 7/8 base diameter. It shows the usual signs of use, as to be expected with an older antique. The original paten is included. Smooth on the inside with Celtic carving outside.

It could use a refinishing or it can be used antique, showing its age as shown in the photos. The paten is 5 1/2 diameter. A velvet lined carrying case is also included as shown. We have thousands of classic church items, please see our other listings to view them all.
