Antique 935 Sterling Silver Pocket Watch 0-300 Chrono Dial Swiss Made. B & Co into an oval Broadway and Co, Founded in 1900 by William Benjamin Broadway, a highly skilled die - sinker. Active at Shady Lane, Kingstanding, Birmingham. This superb rare antique sterling silver pocket watch, was made in Switzerland, circa 1900, for B & Co.

(most likely Broadway and Co, founded in 1900 by William Benjamin Broadway). It has two backs, with both being stamped with the Swiss hallmarks of 3 bears, which were used for Swiss sterling silver watches, being exported to England, and signify that more than 0.935 silver was used (so as to comply with British standards).

The 3 Bears hallmark was discontinued in 1907, so this watch would have been made in the early 1900s. It has various other numbers, both stamped and inscribed.

This watch has a 0-300 scale on the chrono dial. I do not have the winding key/s, so do not know if it works or not - but cannot see any obvious issues with it, so it probably works fine. There is no glass crystal, but this should not be an issue, as it can easily be replaced. There is a bit of dirt on the dial face, but no obvious wear, and it should clean up very well. The outer casing has developed an obvious patina, with darkening, etc.

It can obviously be polished up, or retained. This is a very rare, and interesting antique pocket watch. A little bit of work, cleaning and restoration, could see this restored to its former glory. This would make a great addition to any collection. Check out my other items.
